Crowns and bridges

A crown or a bridge is a specially-made cap that fits over a damaged tooth or can be used to cover an implant.

If the tooth has been comprised from a procedure such as a substantial filling or root canal treatment a crown can be used to protect it from breaking, cover an implant or support a fractured tooth.

If the patient is missing one or more teeth then a bridge is used - this covers the gap and is cemented to surrounding teeth.
