Wisdom teeth are molars that grow at the very back of your mouth, generally between the ages of 17 and 24. Most people develop 4 wisdom teeth (one tooth for each corner of your mouth.)
The majority of people experience no problems with the arrival of their wisdom teeth however, some individuals have less space in their mouths which can in turn produce impacted wisdom teeth.
Problems that can occur with impacted wisdom teeth include pain, swelling and damage to adjacent teeth. You might also experience swollen gums, a stiff or sore jaw or even bad breath. In severe cases, you could have difficulty opening your mouth.
In most cases, the best option is the removal of wisdom teeth.
